The southern area of Addo Elephant National Park offers a quieter alternative to the main northern section. It connects the inland wildlife reserve to a 120,000-hectare Marine Protected Area in Algoa Bay.

This extension makes Addo the only national park globally to house the 'Big 7'. You can find great white sharks and southern right whales offshore, complementing the land mammals inside the fences.
